2 x 8-10oz Rump Steaks
8-10oz rump steak. Suitable for home freezing. Refrigerate or freeze immediately from purchase and must be used by ‘use by’ date’ on label. If frozen, full thaw before cooking. Store at bottom of the fridge away from any ready to eat foods.
Suitable for pan fry or grilling. Best served medium /medium rare.
- Season the steak well 2 hours before cooking, leave to set in fridge. Take out 20 mins before cooking and leave in room temperature environment.
- Heat pan at medium heat, add oil and leave for a moment.
- Add steak, butter and other herbs if desired.
- Cook evenly each side (see recommended times below).
- Leave to rest for 1 mins before serving.
Rare: 1½ - 2 mins each side
Medium: 3 mins each side
Well Done: 4-5 mins each side
